DXB Pumps in Ipswich
Fork Truck Direct is are delighted to have worked once again with DxB Pump & Power Ltd, supplying them with another fully refurbished Doosan D55C-7 forklift.
DxB Pump & Power is a privately owned pump manufacturer based in Ipswich with over 30 years’ experience designing, manufacturing and supplying pumpsets in a variety of locations all over the world; including the Arctic Circle, Europe, throughout the Middle East and of course, all over Africa ,especially in the mines.
Much like FTD, DxB strive to provide an excellent service at a fair and affordable price, all while using some of the highest quality materials to build their pumpsets. Using key components from only the finest manufacturers such as Cornell, Hydra-Tech and key suppliers like Caterpillar, Scania and ABB Motors – DxB Pump & Power manufacture the largest range of engine driven dry prime pumpsets of any company in the UK.
As DxB has grown, so too has their need for reliable, durable, high quality forklifts. As well as using their forklifts for simply loading and unloading, they also use them to assist with building the pumpsets, so it is vital to DxB that they get their forklifts from a supplier they can trust.
The relationship between Fork Truck Direct and DxB stems from a close friendship between Jimmy Pascavage, our Suffolk Sales Manager, and Matt & Simon, the key men in charge of DxB’s operations. Over the years, Fork Truck Direct has supplied Matt & Simon with over a dozen forklifts ranging from 2 tonnes to 11 tonnes. We like to think that it is largely down to Jimmy’s vast experience and knowledge of the material handling industry, as well as our excellent after-sales care and service support, that keep DxB coming back – however; it might actually be that Jimmy is the only one who can understand Matt, with their thick Suffolk dialect and accents lost on everyone else! Apparently they’ve even been mistaken for brothers!
On delivery of the Doosan D55C-7, when asked about the support Jimmy has provided, Matt & Simon said
“Jimmy’s technical abilities enabled DXB to specify the absolute correct forklift for the business, matching available funds with technical requirements. He was very helpful when dealing with our enquiry and we were very satisfied with the product.”
And this relationship has worked both ways – A key commitment of ours is focusing on customer service, and in this case, DxB were able to provide constructive feedback on our delivery process which has allowed us to further streamline and develop the way we work.
