The backbone of our success is our staff – Our Service Management Team collectively offer in excess of 100 years’ experience in the forklift service business, and their experience and technical know-how ensures that FTD will continue to lead the way for years to come.
Our field service engineers are carefully chosen for technical ability, experience and communicative skills. This, together with complete product training, ensures the very best service is provided. We place the upmost importance in the levels of service we give to our customers on a daily basis – responding to all service calls within an average of less than 4 hours.
With over 20 mobile service engineers working five days a week and eight office-based support staff, we ensure that maintenance on all of the equipment we look after is cost-effective to our customers and of the very highest standard. The 27 well-equipped mobile service vans ensure that our highly trained and experienced mobile service engineers have the tools and parts required to get the job done.

Our Unique Service Management System
All records & management of service work carried out are stored on our unique Service & Fleet Management System. Our customers are given a unique username and password to access the SFMS which allows them to view all of the service history & schedule, costs, and certificates for individual piece of material handling equipment they have, giving complete transparency of everything at a click of a button.
