This page will detail the specifications of the G2 1,500kg–3,800kg forklift trucks currently available across Essex, Suffolk, London, Hertfordshire, and Kent and provide insightful knowledge on the benefits of lithium, the G2 range, and the applications in which these forklifts will elevate operational efficiencies.
The CATL Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery (LiFePO4)
Safety
Fire Risk
It is very common to open the news and see videos, images, and articles about the most recent lithium fire due to the combustion of an EV or E-Scooter lithium batteries. However, unlike the lithium batteries used in industries such as automotive and consumer electronics, the lithium batteries provided with the HELI G2 forklift truck are LiFePO4 made form Iron Phosphate instead of Nickle-Cobalt-Aluminium (NCA) commonly found in on-the-road EV cars. LiFePO4 lithium batteries have a far greater safety standard reducing the risk of fires due to combustion to near zero and are considered the safest of lithium batteries on the market.
Water Damage
On the G2 Heli Lithium Forklift Trucks, each battery is encased within a steel box built into the chassis and bolted shut. Above the battery casing is a sealed hood which can be opened for access. The two layers of protection here afford the battery with IPX4 rating against rain and other splashes of water such as driving through puddles. Therefore, the battery is highly unlikely to be damaged by water unless it is fully submerged.
Benefits
Lifespan
In terms of cycle life, the LiFePO4 lithium batteries provide a significant advantage over lead-acid batteries and NCA lithium. LiFePO4 lithium generally last up to 5,000 full cycles before disposal. If you were to discharge the battery and recharge every single day for an entire year (365 days), LiFePO4 lithium can last up to 10-years or more.
Opportune Charging
The most significant benefit to lithium forklift trucks over lead-acid is the ability to opportune charge. This process allows you to charge the truck at any point in the day for as long, or as little, as you wish boosting the work-time of the battery without damaging the battery. For example, if you have a 404 Ah battery with a 200Ah charger which is standard for many of the G2 Lithium Heli Forklift Trucks, a driver may start his shift at 08:00 with a full charge. By his lunch break at 13:00 (45-minutes) the battery may show a 40 % charge. If the driver charges the truck during his break, he may come back to the truck showing 75%-90% charge. This is a massive benefit for operations unable to commit to electric material handling solutions due to shift patterns where the truck will not be out of use for 8-12 hours at a time.
Maintenance Free
The G2 Heli Lithium Forklift Truck allows for one of the most important advancements in the material handling industry in recent years. Zero daily battery maintenance, or upkeep by operators. This means that forklift drivers, operations managers, and other operational staff do not need to open the hood of the Heli G2 Lithium Forklift under any circumstance as there are no checks required on the battery and no water needed unlike the lead-acid platforms. This greatly reduces risk of operator exposure to harmful chemicals and substances present on lead-acid batteries.

Please Note: Some optional extras may not be present on this list. If there is a specific feature you require, please contact a member of our sales staff.
Benefits of the S Range
The HELI G2 S Range stands out among the list of lithium-ion forklift trucks currently on the market due to it's unique benefit. The vehicle comes equipped with charger built into the vehicle sitting on-top of the battery unit. This therefore requires no standalone charging unit which would take up space that could be used elsewhere, and makes the charging process far simpler.
To charge a HELI G2 Lithium S, all you need is one of the below:
- 80V 16A Socket (Commander Socket)
- 80V 13A 3-Pin Plug (Standard Domestic)
Application
The HELI G2 S Range with it's unique in-built charger has a unique position within the assortment of potential lithium forklift trucks available. Due to the in-built charger unit on the vehicle, battery sizes are more limited which is reflected within the types of operations the vehicle is designed for. The ideal application for the vehicle is as follows:
- Intensity: Light (1-3 Hours Per Day Usage)
- Environment: Suitable both indoors and outside where space for standalone charging units are limited.
- Power Supply: Buildings which lack the infrastructure to have larger power supplies such as 3-phase and/or 31-64 A breakers are ideal.
- Cost: The S Range is designed to be an entry-level, cost effective lithium platform especially if budgetary constraints are concerned.
- Examples: Precision Engineering Industry, Packaging Industry, Food and Beverages Industry, Agriculture, Distributors.
