Our field service engineers are carefully chosen for technical ability, experience and communicative skills. This, together with complete product training, ensures the very best service is provided. We place the upmost importance in the levels of service we give to our customers on a daily basis – responding to all service calls within an average of less than 4 hours.

With over 20 mobile service engineers working five days a week and eight office-based support staff, we ensure that maintenance on all of the equipment we look after is cost-effective to our customers and of the very highest standard. The 27 well-equipped mobile service vans ensure that our highly trained and experienced mobile service engineers have the tools and parts required to get the job done.

Our Unique Service Management System

All records & management of service work carried out are stored on our unique Service & Fleet Management System. Our customers are given a unique username and password to access the SFMS which allows them to view all of the service history & schedule, costs, and certificates for individual piece of material handling equipment they have, giving complete transparency of everything at a click of a button.

Breakdowns to Service Schedules and Much More

Type A Service Scheduling

The most cost-effective method of maintaining your material handling equipment and getting ahead of serious faults developing With our Type A services, you are placed on a rolling schedule. Every 6 or 12 months, a specialised field service engineer will attend your site to: replace filters, top up relevant oils, clean and check internal components, giving our support staff the clearest picture as to what faults are likely to develop in the future so we can get in front of problems that can affect your operations.

CFTS Thorough Examinations

Here at Fork Truck Direct, we have the capacity and technical knowledge to ensure that all the equipment we maintain complies with government standards on workplace health and safety. We have an automated scheduling system that allows us to plan for CFTS Thorough Exams on an annual basis, giving our customers the comfort of knowing that their equipment is compliant with the legislature.

Breakdown Callouts

With over 20 Field Service Engineers, 27 well-equipped vans, and supported by an experienced team of 8 service coordination staff covering 4 counties, Fork Truck Direct are well prepared for breakdown callouts and repairs. With Fork Truck Direct, you can rest assured in the knowledge that when things go wrong, we will be there.

Workshop Repairs

For repairs on vehicles that require extensive work, our customers trust that we have the capability and facilities to get their equipment back into working order. This is why we have our Unit 18 building in South Woodham Ferrers, which comprises several bays with space to deal with any size of equipment, from a pallet truck to side-loaders. We can handle collection, delivery, and everything in between with our workshop-dedicated engineers and office-based transportation team.

Premium Cyder specialists Aspall Suffolk Cyder has been in business for 300 years. For the past 15 years, Fork Truck Direct have supplied the site with Doosan counter-balance forklift trucks. Currently Aspall's operate 12 of our Doosan forklifts which we maintain on a weekly basis.
